(CNN) — Need more proof that TV's golden era is upon us? Even Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are eying the boob tube.
The two Hollywood golden boys are executive producing a half-hour comedy for the small screen, and it's been picked up by CBS.
Deadline reports that there was a "heated bidding war" for the project, which will be co-written by Cathy Yuspa and Josh Goldsmith ("The King of Queens").
The concept is based on the stand-up work of comedian Tom Papa, who will also star in the comedy. Called "More Time with Family," it'll revolve around a guy who gives up his high-demand career in order to stay closer to home and be with his family. Of course, after he makes the transition, he realizes his family never asked him to do such a thing.
Papa has previously worked with Damon on 2009's "The Informant!" and this year's acclaimed HBO film, "Behind the Candelabra."
