Boston, MA (KETK) —
A New England Waiter posted on the social media site, Reddit.com , he witnessed an act of kindness that resotred his faith in humanity.
The post reads:
"While waiting tables tonight, a mother and daughter started crying mid-meal. I had no idea what happened until a single guy at the table next to them handed me this note [seen below] with his bill. "Faith in humanity, restored."
The waiter was given a note by a stranger asking for the bill from another table after overhearing their converstaion.
The note said:
"Do me a favor and bring me their check, too. Someone just got diagnosed. Don't tell them."
According to the user's posts on the popular social media site, a mother and daugther were in a section that was pretty secluded from the rest of the restaurant where there were only two tables there and sound travels very easily. They took a phone call and once they hung up, both began to cry.
The note the waiter was slipped said "someone just got diagnosed," and was with the man's credit card, so, the waiter combined his bill with theirs, and ran his credit card for the total of the two. He was done earlier than the pair so, he and got up and left.
Whiskkas posted he waited until the man left to tell the mother-daughter duo the stranger had taken care of their check.
The waiter told the mother and daughter the man said, "Best wishes," which is what the waiter was instructed to do in a note left on the second bill.
Whiskaas went on to add the mother cried even harder after she found out what happened and the watier states, he almost lost it.
