Longview — The Longview City Council will consider giving up a 50-foot wide street right of way and two 15-foot wide alleys Thursday, clearing the way for a developer to build a series of duplexes on the undeveloped land.
The request to abandon the right of way, which falls just east of High Street and north of Marshall Avenue on Hudson Avenue, is the last hurdle before Mark Page is able to construct five or six small, energy-efficient duplexes on the land, he said.
“I have been buying those lots for the last couple years,” said Page, who also had the property rezoned to office/multi-family to allow for the development.
