Tyler, Texas (Tyler ISD) — The Tyler Museum of Art (TMA) will showcase artwork from Tyler ISD middle school students in its upcoming Diade los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, Art Exhibit. Diade los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that celebrates and honors family and friends who have passed away. The exhibit will run from Tuesday, October 29 through Sunday, November 10, in the TMA Classroom.
Approximately 110 festive and colorful art pieces created by Tyler ISD middle school students will be displayed alongside the works of many famous artists from Mexico.
The community is invited to celebrate the Day of the Dead Middle School Art Exhibition with a reception for the artists from 2:00 p.m., to 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 2 at the TMA, 1300 South Mahon Avenue. The reception will include traditional food and art activities related to the holiday.
