Tyler , TX (KETK) — Millions of Americans are having trouble buying insurance online through the Obamacare website.
The website officially launched almost a month ago, and there are still big problems with the system.
We've learned Healthcare.gov was only allowed two weeks of testing before it was launched.
It passed technical reviews and met industry standards, but one local network engineer believes that wasn't enough.
"They did not adequately plan, they did not adequately manage the project moving forward," said Jeff Roberts of Azalea Technology.
Powers says its the complexity of the website that is causing problems, and will be hard to fix.
"Its not so much just a basic page that pops up, those work fine, its getting those to actually do something.. that's the problem," said Powers.
Not only is it the complexity and capacity of the site that has errors, but Powers tells me its the connection between the three separate areas of the site that are managed by three different companies.
Some people are even saying now that the website is not fixable, and it will be costly
Powers also said, "Whether you agree with the law or not, you have to see something that visible that you're paying for, that's your tax money, fail in such a massive way."
