Tyler TX (KETK) — Without even moving from your couch, you can now order almost anything online.
But, one brick and mortar store is amping up their customer service and reminding people browsing and touching the product before you buy it, is the way to go.
For the last couple of years, brick and mortar stores biggest competitor wasn't each other.
It's been online stores.
"How do you draw consumers into your store, when they can simply log on go online make their selection make a few clicks and and their product shows up at their door,'' said Financial Advisor Jay Oliver.
So how does a retail store get back in the running?
"Basically a whole new image we have to throw out there, and let customers know were their in the stores physically as well as online,'' said Sales Lead Mobile Department Juan Lopez.
Offer just as much or more than online shopping.
"We offer free shipping, we offer free delivery on our appliances as well so stuff like that really helps out," said Lopez.
Best Buy has been working to make their customer experience more attractive in the stores then it was previously.
"I think retailers have become aware they need to make the experience different and valuable for the consumer when their in the store," said Oliver.
Best Buy has added new logos such as, "the latest devices and services all in one place" and "the ability to shop when and where you want."
"Retailers are realizing price points are important where maybe in the past they shuffled their clearance items to the back of the store in the corner and you had to dig around to find them. I think they are using that in their advantage a little bit to put it out front display in a more appealing way compared to the online retailers," said Oliver.
And some Best Buy customers keep coming back because they can take home their purchase the same day they buy it.
"I want something right now, because I'm a little bit impatient," said customer Linnon Thomas.
"I like the instant and not having to wait to get it," said customer Vincent Doebbler.
