Tyler, Texas (KETK) — Petland in the French Quarter Shopping Center in Tyler will be holding a grand reopening on Saturday, November 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Petland sells pet food, supplements, treats, chews, shampoos, pet accessories, exotic birds, pure bred puppies, tropical fish, and various reptiles.
The event will serve as the introduction to Petland's new owners, Samit and Tejal Darne.
The Darne's also own the Marble Slab Creamery in Tyler.
Petland opened back in 1988 and has been locally operated and involved in a lot of community services including spaying and neutering over 3,500 pets in the Tyler area with the help of Flint Veterinary Clinic.
The event will have hotdogs, door prizes, face painting, balloon sculptures, and fun all day long.
