Smith County, Texas (KETK) — UPDATE (4:09pm): Authorities with the Department of Public Safety tell KETK that there were injuries reported in the wreck on Hwy. 110 near Troup, but the exact number of people involved is unclear at this time.
However, DPS tells KETK that all those who were injured are now in stable condition.
UPDATE (3:45pm) : KETK crews on scene have been told that the wreck will take "at least an hour" to clear. Drivers can expect delays until about 4:45 pm.
The wreck happened just south of Old Tyler Hwy on Hwy. 110.
Traffic is being detoured off of Hwy. 110 onto Old Tyler Hwy to get around the wreck.
ORIGINAL STORY: Emergency crews are on the scene of a major wreck in Smith County.
It happened at around 2:30 p.m. in between Whitehouse and Troup.
Officials have confirmed that there are injuries involved in the wreck.
Please be wary of the area because of traffic delays.
