Tyler, Texas (KETK) — East Texans experienced anywhere from 2 to 10 inches of rain over the month of October. Most of it fell within the last week.
This drastic increase in water was needed, but did create some problems for residents.
K-E-T-K's morning meteorologist Katie Vossler gave the latest update on the storm. "We got 9 to 10 inches of rain for the entire month for Tyler, and Palestine got that in one day with their 10 1/2 inches today. So we'll need time to dry out, and we'll see that this weekend".
This flooding created some problems, even overturning a tree on Broadway St. in Tyler.
It also created some major flooding damage this morning when a creek overflowed in Jacksonville.
Residents of the lodge residential apartment complex experienced a rude awakening at 3 a.m. Resident Victoria Hardeman said, "The water got at least 4 inches up in our unit. ruined everything"
Hardeman said, "This is what we woke up too. A disaster".
The city arrived to take care of the flooding damage.
No one was harmed.
