Jack Stallard talked with KETK Sports Director Danny Elzner are a battle of unbeatens.
#1 Kilgore will play at #3 Kilgore Friday night.
What about the Kilgore Bulldogs?
Stallard said, "Kilgore is a great football team. The defense has allowed just 94 points all season. Even good teams give up a lot of points but Kilgore is shutting teams down. They're going to need to do that against Gilmer. They can hang onto the football and not let the Gilmer offense get on the field. Kilgore runs the ball better than just about anyone else. The Bulldogs are averaging 311 yards per game on the ground. If you churn out the yards and run the clock, Gilmer's offense can't beat you if they're sitting on the sideline."
What about the Gilmer Buckeyes?
"The Buckeyes have scored at least 50 points in all nine games this season. They're averaging 60 points per game. People think this is just a passing team. They do throw the ball quite a lot. Tanner Barr has passed for 2,300 yards and 29 touchdowns. They also have a thousand yard rusher in Kris Boyd. The Bulldogs can hurt you either way. This is going to be a great game."
