Ft. Worth, Tx — A veteran in Texas is going the extra mile to pay tribute to servicemen and women who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Ron White has memorized the name of each soldier who died while serving in Afghanistan.
White says he realized in his early 20s that he had a gift for memorizing and reciting information. But that doesn't mean the task came easy. It took the vet nearly a year to learn the first 1,800 names.
As new casualties of war occurred, he'd remember their name, too. As things stand, White has memorized more than 2,300 names.
Ultimately, the Navy veteran says he wants their families to know their loved ones are not forgotten.
