Wood County, Texas (KETK) — As KETK reported last week, a Wood County court ordered a 16-year-old girl be taken from the care of Margie and John Cantrell, her foster parents, after Child Protective Services claimed there was child abuse in the home.
The Cantrell's, ironically, were the ones who first alerted authorities that four of their foster children claimed they had been subjected to lewd acts at the so-called Mineola "Swingers Club."
Six people were eventually convicted in Smith County, though an appeals court reversed all but one decision.
At a hearing Tuesday, the court ordered the 16-year-old and three other children removed from the Cantrell's home as recommended by the CPS.
These are the four children who were at the center of the swingers case.
The Cantrell's were allowed very limited and only if the children desire it, and must undergo regular drug tests.
Another hearing will be held on December 6.
