Tyler — The Apaches are going bowling.
The Tyler Junior College football team will play in the Football Capial of Kansas Bowl December 8 in Pittsburg, Kansas.
TJC was ranked as high as third nationwide this season.
The Apaches will play in their first bowl game in ten years.
Tyler coach Danny Palmer talked with KETK's Danny Elzner.
"We have a bunch of great kids like all coaches say," Palmer said. "But they were a special group."
"Our kids are very deserving of the bowl bid," Palmer added. "We're really looking forward to it."
