T.K. Gorman quarterback Tristan Saint was one of six players honored on Wednesday as Build Ford Tough Texas High School Football Players of the Week.
Saint, the private school selection, was joined by Clear Creek quarterback Jarrett Hildreth in Class 5A, Carrollton Creekview quarterback David Blough in Class 4A, Decatur quarterback Grayson Muehlstein in Class 3A, Coleman athlete JaQuan Hemphill in Class 2A and Forsan running back and defensive back Kolby Self in Class A.
The award honors one player in each of the state's six athletic classifications. The winners are chosen for athletic achievements on the field, as well as for outstanding scholarship and community involvement.
Saint was 16 of 23 for 270 yards and three touchdowns to lead T.K. Gorman to its first .500 win season in its eight years in TAPPS Division II with a 42-14 win over Dallas Shelton. He also ran for 60 yards and another touchdown on seven carries.
