LINDALE, TEXAS (KETK) — East Texans showed off their classic rides for the Lindale Fire department on Saturday.
The 'Great American Classics Auto and Cycle show 2013' was held at Great American Classics in Lindale.
A trophy and $25 was given for Best Chevy, Best Mopar, Best Ford, Best Rat Rod and Best Motorcycle.
Also, an entry- fee of $25 included two-meal tickets for BBQ, steaks, chicken and all the delicious sides.
With the money raised, Great American Classics will fix up a Lindale Fire classic.
"It's a fundraiser for Lindale Fire Department to raise funds for their restoration of their 1944 Ford fire truck, it was the first fire truck Lindale fire ever bough brand new and it came in on a train right here in Lindale," says Shawn Houston, Owner of Great American Classics.
"I mean they fight for us everyday and everything so it's good to honor them," says Ronnie Gorman of Ronnie Gorman Car Show.
Houston says, this fire truck means so much to the community and the fire department.
