White Oak, Texas (KETK) — At 3: 29 a.m., on November 17, the White Oak Police were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of East Center Street in reference to a missing six-year- old girl.
After a search of the home and area, officers obtained other information concerning a possible suspect named Jeremy Jones, who is a relative of the victim. It was determined thru investigation that Jones had taken the child from the residence.
A BOLO was put out concerning the child and at 5:32 a.m., the Miller County Sheriff’s Department in Texarkana, Arkansas, contacted White Oak officials saying they had located the child walking down Highway 549 with just her pajamas on and no shoes. The victim stated Jones had taken her from the house.
A warrant was obtained from the Gregg County District Attorney’s office for Jones for the offense of kidnapping.
Jones was located in Antler Oklahoma by Antlers Police Department where he was arrested on the kidnapping warrant and placed in the Pushmataha County Jail.
The case is still under investigation with the assistance of the FBI.
