Longview — Baskets were installed and discs tossed Monday at Hinsley Park as Longview’s newest disc golf course had its inaugural round.
“We are getting to finally play the courses that we designed. We have gone to sleep thinking about where we are going to move holes, what we are going to do, so this is the inaugural round for the course that we have been working on for more than a year,” said Patrick Hiller, Longview Disc Golf Association’s vice chairman of design for the Hinsley Park course.
Buried in 14 acres of woods in north Hinsley Park, the new course is designed to be a complement of the city’s other course at Guthrie Park.
