Longview, TX — The 27th annual Wonderland of Lights Festival debuts tonight in Marshall, and the Convention and Visitors Bureau is making sure the opening ceremony will leave people mesmerized.

Starting at 4 p.m., Martha Josey of Josey’s Ranch will take the inaugural ride on Snowflake, the giant rocking horse in front of Central Perks at Rusk Street and North Washington Avenue in downtown Marshall. All attractions and rides also will open then for the first day of the festival.
At 5:30 p.m. the Samsung Holiday Celebration Show will begin, featuring the Marshall Symphony Orchestra with five area vocalists.
Children will have the chance to make toys and receive a coloring book, cookie and picture with Santa Claus when Santa’s Workshop opens at 6 p.m. It will last until 9 p.m.
The 250,000 LED lights on the Harrison County Historical Courthouse are to be turned on at 6:13 p.m.
