Lindale Tx (KETK) — During your Thanksgiving feast, you may have a few four legged guests who enjoy the holiday just as much, but just make sure they don't eat something that'll make them sick
Some people just can't resist letting our dogs indulge, others just view them as vacuum's with eyes.
But if you're not careful, you could be spending Black Friday at the vet.
Local vets tell KETK, the days following Thanksgiving are some of the busiest of the year, with many dogs coming in suffering from nausea and other stomach related ailments.
They say, although it may be tempting, it's best to not let your animal have any of the incredibly rich food many of us have for thanksgiving, since their metabolism is different from ours.
One important tip was that it may be best to put the dog up in a pin or outside while the family eats, so no one is tempted to the let their pet have too many holiday treats.
