Longview — Volunteers and those in need were thankful as they gathered Thursday at the Salvation Army for a traditional Thanksgiving feast.
Those in need were thankful for the volunteers who provided a hot meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, dressing, mac ‘n’ cheese and sweet potato pie and cake.
“It helps. At first when I came in I didn’t think that today would be a good day but it turned out to be a good day,” said Daniel Williams, a Longview man who said if it weren’t for the Salvation Army he would be in trouble.
