Rusk County, Texas (Longview News-Jounal) — A woman was killed and an infant critically injured in a two-vehicle wreck in Rusk County, according to a dispatcher with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The wreck occurred about 6 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. 84 and FM 95 in the southeastern corner of the county.
The vehicles involved were a 2009 Toyota Tundra, driven by Michael Kenneth Howart, 48, of Lufkin; and a 2000 Ford F350, driven by Dawson Alan Masters, 49, of Malone.
Debbie Masters, 54, of Malone died at 3 a.m. Thursday at a Tyler hospital as the result of injuries she received in the wreck. Reese Masters, 11 months, remains in critical condition at Texas Children’s Hospital in Dallas as a result of injuries he received in the wreck.
