Longview, TX — Monday night, in the Good Shepherd parking lot in Longview: friends, family, and coworkers gathered to honor those who were hurt in last week's attack, and remember one of their own, who was killed.
It was the first step toward healing after that tragic day, where nurse Gail Sandidge was killed, and four others were wounded.
Those in attendance held candles and sang Amazing Grace, talking about what Gail meant to them, and although this was the place she lost her life, it was also a place she loved.
Her family says she loved being a nurse, and she died doing what she was meant to do, protecting her patients.
The ceremony wasn't very long, but those who attended say it was a gathering they all needed
