Jack Stallard spoke with KETK Sports Director Danny Elzner about the District of Doom state quarterfinal game between the Bulldogs and the Bulldogs.
Kilgore beat Chapel Hill earlier this season.
The rematch will be Friday night at Tyler's Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.
Here is what Stallard said about the big game.
"Anytime you're talking about beating a district rival this late in the season, it means it's deep in the playoffs. I think it's a game everyone saw coming. Kilgore had a lot of pressure on them, high expectations to start the season. They've certainly lived up to those. Chapel Hill struggled last season but they had a lot of talent coming back. This is a battle-tested Chapel Hill team against a great Kilgore team. When they met earlier, lots of offense in that game. Kilgore did what they do best. They ran the football all over the place. Chapel Hill had a lot of success throwing the football. Kilgore runs the ball. If they're able to do that Friday night, they'll have success. If Chapel Hill can throw the ball against that Kilgore defense, it could be that Chapel Hill comes out on top in this one."
