According to ESPN Central Texas, the Seattle mariners have signed former New York Yankee turned coveted free agent, Robinson Cano, to a 10-year deal worth $240 million.
The new deal for Cano hits neck-and-neck with the deal Los Angeles Angel, Albert Pujols, signed as the third-largest contract in Major League Baseball history. The only contracts ahead of Cano's and Pujols' are the two contacts Alex Rodriguez signed with the Texas Rangers and Yankees.
The Yankees previously offered Cano $160 million for 10 years which makes the Mariners' offer $80 million more.
