TYLER, TEXAS (KETK) — Andre Thompson of Tyler has been bell ringing for The Salvation Army since Tuesday At Walgreen's in Rieck and Broadway in Tyler.
Thompson tells us, it's something he's always wanted to do, which is impact lives.
"Took the challenge and hopes that I would be able to help the homeless or to be able to put some presents under Christmas trees," said Thompson.
Even with the freezing temps, Andre is still going strong, he tells us he's pumped and thankful for all the support.
He's trying to break the record of 80 hours of bell ringing, there are two other bell ringers, one in Minnesota and California.
For the last three days many East Texans have been coming to visit Thompson to show support and donate.
