Tyler, Texas (KETK) — Kobe Bryant returned to the Lakers' lineup, Sunday, after a nearly eight-month-hiatus stemming from an Achilles injury he suffered in April 2013.
Bryant, who was introduced in the Staple's Center to The Imperial March from Star Wars, nearly recorded a double-double in his season debut scoring nine points and pulling down eight boards in the LA's 106-94 loss to the Toronto Raptors.
The NBA's fourth leading scorer in history is beginning his 18th year in the league and is looking to make the Lakers' dynasty shine once again after last season was fueled by controversy with the coach and injuries plaguing the team.
