Texas (CNN/KETK) — It's fairly common for Veterans to get together to swap war stories, unless both are 107 years old and talking about World War II.
That's exactly what happened on Friday in Austin Texas.
Richard Overton and Elmer Hill, both from Texas, are the oldest known surviving World War II veterans.
The two soldiers both fought in the south pacific on the same battlefield more than 70 years ago.
"Some things in the Army, what you went through, you would never forget. There's so much to tell. There's too much to tell, you can't tell it all," said Overton.
Overton just recently met President Obama on a trip to Washington.
Hill met President Obama in Washington on Saturday.
KETK had the privilege of speaking with Henderson's own Elmer Hill earlier this month.
