Tyler, TX (KETK) — Did Christmas sneak up on you this year? The big day is less than a week away, and the malls are crazier than ever. Still on your Christmas shopping list is your father who already has enough ties, your aunt who's had it with sweaters, and those neighbors you always forget. So where do you begin?
Well, you can start with the inexpensive gifts perfect for everyone, like treats. Easy items such as candy coated popcorn, are perfect for unexpected guests or stocking stuffers. KETK spoke with the Tyler Braxton, the owner of Popcorn Junction, who said, "The chocolates are a big hit right now. Chocolate covered peppermint, white chocolate pretzel... we have everything from spicy to sweet". These can be ordered in bulk for the office, or in small ornament sizes for stocking stuffers.
Next are the gifts that work for all age groups. Items like headphones, the Kindle, and iPad Minis. The Best Buy general manager Steven Harrell, said, "We have the Play Station 4, and then we have Xbox 1 that's currently in stock, and there's been a huge rush around large panel TV's this year".
Let's also not forget the affordable gifts like gym memberships, trendy jewelry, small speaker systems, and tech accessories. Harrell gave some other affordable options like, "A memory card for their phone, an electronic razor, even an electronic toothbrushes". Many stores have easy pick up options, where you can call ahead or order online, then pick up in store.
Possibly due to these accommodating store policies, according to a Consumer Reports poll, most shopping procrastinators are not even worried about being ready for Christmas. 64% of people claim they have things under control. The remaining 34% are only somewhat stressed. So fear not, there is still time!
