Lufkin, Texas (KETK) — The City of Lufkin has suffered from winds of 60 miles per hour and has been left with severe throughout the town.
Highway 59 in Lufkin was temporarily closed due to flooding. TxDOT has since cleared the area and both lanes are now open to traffic.
Southwood Drive in Lufkin experienced a closure as well when a tree fell down in the area. The tree has been cleared and the road is now open to the public.
Earlier today, Wal-Mart in Lufkin was without power and had to evacuate the store.
Lowes also lost several portables. Many were found near Chestnut Drive completely destroyed and heavily damaged.
