Longview — There are a handful of projects that Longview Mayor Jay Dean says he could leave his mark with in 2014, his last full year serving the city.
Among them: The city could see construction of a hotel/conference center; erection of a new, updated animal shelter; and the George Richey Road extension will be well underway before the sun sets on the coming new year.
From Dean’s perspective, one city project matters the most.
“I think hands down the biggest issue as a city and City Council we are going to be addressing is the completion and implementation of the comprehensive plan,” Dean said of the plan that the city began formulating late this year.
