Longview, Texas (KETK) —
One man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Andres Chavez, 19, whose body was found in the woods near Sabine Street in Longivew.
Friday morning, at 6:00 a.m., the Longview SWAT team executed a search and arrest warrant in rural Smith County in reference to the homicide in the 1100 Block of Sabine Street that occurred on or about December 23.

Alejandro Garcia Gallegos was arrested on a charge of murder. With the assistance of the Smith County Sheriff's Office, Gallegos was interviewed in reference to his part in this ongoing investigation.
Gallegos was arreseted in connection with the finding of Chavez's body on Monday at 7:35 a.m. Police found Chavez lying outside a car in the woods.
Gallegos was transported to the Gregg County Jail and booked into jail on a $500,000 bond.
