SMITH COUNTY, TEXAS (KETK) — A Smith County house was destroyed after crews battled a fire that broke out early Tuesday morning.
The blaze started around midnight in the 10,000 block of Lakeshore Drive in Chapel Hill. The family of three safely escaped, but everything they owned was consumed by flames. Fire crews from Chapel Hill, Arp, Whitehouse, Jackson Heights and Smith County all responded. The cause is still under investigation.
Hester Benefit Fund
The Chapel Hill Baseball Association is putting together a benefit for the family.
This Saturday at 9 a.m., a softball tournament will be held at the Chapel Hill Baseball Field to help raise money. Organizers will be serving BBQ and have shirts for sale. All of the proceeds will go to the family.

- Men's pants 33/32
- Women's shirt size medium
- Women's shoe size 8
- Women's pants 6/7
- Kids shirts size small
- Kids shoe 9.5/10
- Kids pants size 3-5
