Arp, Texas (KETK) — An East Texas man believed to have contributed alcohol to a party full of minors on New Year's Eve has been arrested.
A warrant was issued for Jimmy Stamps, 22, after a 14-year-old boy was found passed out in a driveway in Arp on New Year's Eve after drinking too much alcohol.
The boy's father, Randy Williams, wants to know who exactly gave the booze to his teenage son. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office has also launched an investigation into the incident.
Authorities tell KETK there were other minors at the New Year's Eve bash, but were not found unconscious in someone's driveway.
The Arp Police Department plans to conduct a follow up investigation after a City Hall Meeting was held Monday night in Arp.
Stamps has been booked into the Smith County Jail on $2,500 bond.
