Tyler, Texas (KETK) — An East Texas man is now behind bars for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
On Friday, February 7, 2014, detectives with the Smith County Sheriff's Office arrested Victor Michael Austin, 39, of Tyler, on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Earlier that week on February 6, a child made an outcry that she was being sexually abused.
The child was forensically intereviewed when the child said that they had been repeatedly sexually abused.
A warrant was issued for Austin's arrest and on Friday, Austin was located and arrested.
In an interview Austin admitted to sexually abusing the child.
He was booked into Smith County Jail under at $1,000,000 bond.
