Tyler, TX (KETK) — Nationwide, early voting begins Tuesday morning. So for those 100,000 registered Smith County voters, this is an opportunity to conveniently cast your vote.
KETK spoke with the Smith County Elections Administrator, Karen Nelson, who said, "A lot of people just like to get it out of the way. There's two full weeks, Saturday 7 AM to 7 PM, and a Sunday 1 PM to 6 PM, and we just make it so convenient. People take advantage of that instead of waiting until the last day". Rather than waiting in line on election day, this allows you to quickly get in and out.
There are five polling locations throughout Smith County, and for a list of all locations in East Texas, click, http://www.ketknbc.com/news/vote-texas-polling-locations-rules-for-etx-voters .
