Longview, TX — Voters in contested races in Longview and southern Gregg County got an extra day of early voting in their neighborhoods Monday, as county commissioners OK’d a request to add Sunday voting in their precincts.
Early voting in the primary election starts today and lasts through Feb. 28. Election Day is March 4.
Kilgore voters got the noon to 3 p.m. Sunday voting window, too, as Elections Administrator Kathryn Nealy asked that all three satellite polls be added to the courthouse for Sunday voting.

In Pct. 2, roughly West and North Longview, incumbent Commissioner Darryl Primo faces a challenge in the March 4 GOP primary from Kimberly Fish. Incumbent Pct. 4 Commissioner John Mathis has drawn Democratic challenges from Billy Hatten and Shannon Brown to represent South Longview, southern Gregg County and part of Kilgore.
