Longview, Texas (KETK) — An East Texas man was arrested Sunday for endangering his 11-year-old daughter.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday when Longview Police were called to 401 High Street for reports of someone injured in the roadway.
According to Kristi Brian with Longview Police she says that when the girl was interviewed she said her father was 'driving crazy.'
The girl says that she and her father had gone to the store and when they left, he started 'driving crazy.'
The 11-year-old girl says she wasn't sure if her father was trying to kill himself or kill her, but she became afraid for her life. The girl then opened her door and jumped out the vehicle while the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed.
The girl suffered from serious injuries. According to reports she had facial fractures, a skull fracture, as well as brain bleeding.
She was taken to a Dallas hospital for further treatment. Her condition is unknown at this time.
Longview Police arrested Tazille Madison III, 35, of Longview after he ran into a house on Camillia Lane.
Madison was charged with endangerment of a child and placed into Gregg County Jail under a $10,000 bond.
He has since posted bond.
