Tyler (KETK) — There is a new chapter in the Obamacare implosion and chances are it's one you don't know about it and that is on purpose.
It has been entertaining this week to watch administration acolytes try and explain that the uninsured-- mainly young people, the target of Obamacare --that everything is hunky dory.
You have HHS Kathleen Sebelius this week saying success is millions signing up for Obamacare. The latest numbers say only 4 million have signed up so far.
But, now they say there was no threshold. Rewind to about six months ago when ol' Kathy was on NBC news with Brian Williams on tape saying they needed at least seven million to make this work. She and others are denying that was ever said, even though you can find it all over the "www."
A few weeks ago businesses again got a waiver from implementing Obamacare another two years, so people would not go into the 2014 voting booth mad because they just saw their insurance canceled and their rates skyrocketing.
But late last week in the ol' Friday night document dump, there it was hidden in the docs. The Wall Street Journal reports this: Last week, the administration quietly excused millions of people from the requirement to purchase health insurance or else pay a tax penalty.
This latest political reconstruction has received zero media notice, and the Health and Human Services Department didn't think the details were worth discussing in a conference call, press materials or fact sheet. Instead, the mandate suspension was buried in an unrelated rule that was meant to preserve some health plans that don't comply with Obamacare benefit and redistribution mandates. Our sources only noticed the change this week.
It's easy. You're on the honor method. You just have to say Obamacare is a hardship and you're off the hook for two more years.
This thing is tanking.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
