KETK — Many of us do not want to think about it, but it is time to get ready for spring cleaning. This is typically the time you want to organize your house and give it a deep clean.
Instead of the usual dusting and vacuuming, you want to take time to sanitize and scrub your home. Everything from your sink, to your shower, to your fridge needs a little elbow grease.
KETK sat down with the owner of You've Got Maids, Taylor Dison, who gave us some helpful tips for this spring cleaning season.
Dison said you want to give your home a really thorough cleaning, spend time cleaning out your fridge, scrubbing your counters and sink and organize your home, looking at what you can donate.
"For your closets if you have clothes you haven't worn in six months that means you're probably not going to wear them," Dison said. "So that would be a good opportunity to clean out your closet and get rid of those clothes you're not going to wear anymore."
Also, if cleaning is not your strong suit, there are other options. Dison says they can help with regular cleaning, deep cleaning and even organization.
"We give them the time and the opportunity to go and do other stuff that they may not have to do if they were cooped up at the house cleaning," Dison said.
Beth Chambless hires You've Got Maids and says the extra help worth it.
"I work full time and I don't have as much time as I would like to keep the house up the way it should be kept up," Chambless said. "And so it's really nice to have someone come in on a regular basis and take care of it for me."
