San Diego (KETK) — It's time for Stephen F. Austin to take its show to the biggest stage in the country.
The Lumberjacks will play Virginia Commonwealth Friday evening at 6:27 in the NCAA Tournament.
SFA has won 28 straight games. That's the second-longest win streak in the nation.
"With the guys we have, we think anything is possible," said SFA forward Jacob Parker. "We never set low standards."
"Coach Underwood is a very intense person," said SFA guard Desmond Haymon. "He'll push you to go hard every day."
"We've got a great locker room," said SFA coach Brad Underwood. "This team has achieved a great deal and has a tremendous amount of confidence coming in."
"Stephen F. Austin has had a terrific season," said VCU coach Shaka Smart. "For us it will be a heck of a challenge."
The Lumberjacks have won 31 of their 33 games this season. They were unbeaten in the Southland Conference.
Now it's time for the biggest game of all.
Coach Underwood summed it up.
"We'll throw it up, have some fun and see what happens."
