Kilgore (Longview News-Journal) — Henderson ISD has begun discussions with Kilgore College about a program that could provide up to 60 hours of college credit for high school students before graduation.
“This means they would possibly graduate with an associate’s degree or Level II certification,” said Stacey Johnson, a spokeswoman for the school district.
“We are looking at workforce programs. It is a wonderful opportunity for students interested in welding, auto mechanics, body shop, criminal justice and health science. With the graduation changes for House Bill 5, there will be more career technology in high school.”
