Lindale, Texas (KETK) — The Lindale ISD Education Foundation awarded more than 23,000 dollars in grants Wednesday.
Every year, the foundation provides donations for improvements not paid for by the school budget. All the money dervies from sponsors: donors, corporations, and businesses.
The grants fill technology needs to improving materials for children with disabilities. The projects are intended to create enriched experiences for students.
"We're gonna section off our room into different parts and have different materials in each little area that way the can just walk up into their little section and just pull the materials out at their own time in their own pace," said Life Skills Teacher Ashleigh Brasher.
Since its 2009 inception, the foundation has donated $175,000 and helped support 55 classroom projects.
