Upshur County, Texas (Longview News Journal) — An Upshur County woman whose body was discovered this past month in a house fire was killed by blunt impact to the head and stab wounds to the neck, according to an autopsy report.
The bludgeoning of Erica Cook’s head led to a skull fracture, bruises to the brain and cuts of the mouth.
She also was stabbed in the ear, the trachea and the spinal cord, according to the autopsy performed by Robert Lyon of Forensic Medical of Texas in Tyler.
