HOUSTON COUNTY - A Houston County sheriff's investigator and courthouse bailiff have been arrested and charged with civil rights violations.
The Lufkin Daily News reports that the two assaulted a man and then took him in a county vehicle to Davy Crockett National Forest, where they tasered, pistol whipped, and abandoned the victim.
The two are charged with conspiracy and violation of civil rights as well as assaulting the man on federal land with a firearm.
They each face almost forty years behind bars.
