Bullet apparently went through the middle of dog's eye and out the top of his head
Brenham, TX — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; a 1-year-old Catahoula dog that was shot directly in his eye with a .22-caliber gun is on the mend, thanks to a rescue group and some emergency veterinary care.
The dog, now known as Chance because he got a second one, is under the care of True Blue Animal Rescue, based in Brenham.
The group's co-founder and president, Melanie DeAeth, said the Catahoula showed up April 5 at the home of a woman who lives in the Caldwell area in rural Burleson County.
