SMITH COUNTY-If you spend a good amount of time in the deer woods or on Lake Tyler or Palestine, you've probably met Smith County Game Warden Chris Green.
Mr. Green has been a game warden for 17 years and he's served in Smith County for the past twelve. Mr. Green's hard work is finally being recognized. He was just named "2008 Boating Safety Officer of the Year" in Texas.
He tells KETK he's honored by the win and will be heading to Austin this summer to receive his award before the State Commission.
Green beat out more than 500 game wardens from across the state for the presitgious honor.
