Zavalla, Texas (KETK) —
The parent's of a Zavalla man who was murdered earlier this year have been granted court-ordered visitations with their granddaughter.
Jim and Jan Maddox, parents to Nathan Maddox, although pushing for custody of their granddaughter, were given visitation rights Wednesday in Tyler County.
The five-year-old girl in currently in custody of Child Protective Services and living in a foster home. The girl's mother, Kristen Westfall, was arrested  alongside her grandparents Letha and Paul Westfall and uncle, Cameron Westfall, for the January 18th murder of Nathan Maddox and his wife Krystal .
Nathan and Krystal Maddox were at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church near Colmesneil to have a supervised visit with his five-year-old daughter and after reports of gunshots, deputies with the Tyler County Sheriff's Office arrived at the church to find the couple gunned down. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Westfall family  was taken into custody in connection with the slaying Tuesday, March 11, 2014, and are sitting in jail on $1 million bond each.
