Houston — Tracy McGrady, who announced his retirement in August after playing 16 NBA seasons, including six with the Rockets, is no stranger when it comes to pressure.
McGrady began spring training on Tuesday in an attempt to make the Sugar Land Skeeters as a right-handed pitcher for the independent league team.
“I’ve played at a high level before. I know this is different territory, but I think I’ll be cool,” said McGrady, who was one of six non-roster invitees for the Skeeters.
