Longview — Job hopefuls lined up Wednesday outside Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center seeking employment with the city of Longview.
The city’s annual career fair offered residents, such as William Wallace, a chance to apply for one of 17 open positions or declare their interest in a position that’s filled.
“I did not realize everything that I could do with the city,” said Wallace of Longview, who said he recently became unemployed.
Wallace said he looked at positions online, but it was helpful to interact with managers from city departments and to be able to see his options.
