Groveton, Texas (KETK) — A Trinity County tenant was arrested recently after authorities discovered narcotics and paraphernalia consistent with drug dealing.
According to the Groveton Police Department, police and Trinity County deputies were serving a warrant at an apartment on S. Devine when they made the discovery. The tenant, Hope Pennington, gave authorities permission to search the home.
During the search, a K9 officer alerted its handler to three different hot spots. Officers found a pipe, scales and baggies in those areas. A usable amount of methamphetamine was also taken.
Terrence Edwards was arrested for criminal trespass and also charged with possession of controlled substance per group 1 and possibly manufacture and delivery.
